  1. Hi Bona. My 2 brothers and I are thinking of doing a motorbike tour of Sumatra next year. Our father was there during the war and fell in love with Indonesia and we want to go over and see the areas that he was in. I have enjoyed your blogs and was wondering if you know of any Motorbike Touring companies in Sumatra or even Jakarta that would go to Sumatra. We would be looking to hire three bikes. We are from Australia and aged 48, 52 & 56. Any help you could give us would be appreciated. You can also see us on Facebook. Regards Henry

      Glad that you enjoy my blog, thank for visiting :)

      Regarding hiring bike in Indonesia, I’m afraid I have no info about such service. The only bike rent that I know is local Harley Davidson’s dealer that do rent HD bike. But I do not thing they have adventure bike.

      There also dirt bike shop that do rent for short dirt bike trip (such as in this post http://bonadjalins.wordpress.com/2009/06/18/bandung-lembang-offroad-riding/ ) but I do not think they consider them self a touring company as they do not offer long distance trip/touring.

      Almost 99% of bike in Indonesia is small cc bike/moped but I would not want to take a long distance trip with one of those. :)
