Visit to Naza – Ducati of Malaysia

Continuing the trip report to Sepang MotoGP, it will not be completed if we were not visiting the local bike shop. Our first trip was to – off course – Ducati dealer in Malaysia. In Malaysia, Ducati is represented by Naza. A large automotive conglomerate that represented several major car as well as motorcycles manufacturer in Malaysia. Naza’s Ducati dealership is among the largest in South East Asia with extensive in showroom stock for Ducati motorcycle’s line up.

One of the hottest selling line is off-course the 1098. You can find bunch of them, the base, the S and even the TriColore being displayed, albeit being sold already, at the showroom.

They also have the new HyperMotard on display. To be honest I don’t really like the HyperMotard. It just not me. Perhaps if I 10 cm taller… hehehe.

The new Sport Classics I like! Bring back good old 70′s memory. The ergo is bit sportly like, but overall I like the way it looks.

Nugroho with the store manager, Zaidi, telling me not to ride too fast with the SportClassics.. heheheh

The 1098s Black with red frame… hmmmmmm lookin’ good!!!

iBoy love at the first sight, 749 Dark. Evil man!!!!

Lastly we got a shopping spree buying parts and apparels. The big guy is Nick, he is the manager of the joint… cool guy! They were also invited us to have dinner with the Ducati MotoGP team latter in the evening. Thanks guys!

Ducati in Malaysia is big, I think as big or bigger than Mabua in Indonesia in term of sales or company size. Also in Malaysia the number of big bore bike (moge) is significantly bigger than Indonesia. With the number of small cc bike is significantly lower. So what you see on the road is far more moge and far less small cc bike.

You can also ride your motorcycle in highway (tol road), and the road quality is good, about the same with an industrial country. With that situation is not out of ordinary that Ducati in Malaysia is big and supported by such big dealership.

    1908 single seater?

    Hi Abe,

1098 (not 1908) comes with biposto and monoposto seat cowl. So you can have the single seater mode or biposto for 2 up riding. But I bet will not be too confortable.

Hi there, we flew in last night from Australia to see the Sepang GP. We rode to Philip Island on my 900SS for the last GP and I reckon it would blow the locals away if I had been able to bring my tricked up yellow friend. Probably would get pulled for noise though. See ya at Sepang. Go Casey!

Lucky you! I am not planning to come to Sepang GP this year. Rossi has already world champ! :)

Anyhow, I trust you will enjoy your trip, if memory serve me well Aussie fans were among the loudest and craziest on the grandstand.. :)
